What personal data we collect and why we collect it
CommentsWhen visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comments form plus the visitor IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
MediaIf you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact formsMessages submitted through the site's forms are emailed securely to Anthony and used only to respond to the request. They are not stored by the website theme.
CookiesCommenting can save your name, email address, and website in cookies (lasting one year) for convenience. Logging in sets cookies for preference and login state; these persist for up to two weeks and are removed on logout. No personal data is contained in the temporary login cookie.
Embedded contentPages on this site may include embedded content (for example videos) from other websites. Embedded content behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other website, which may collect data, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that content.
AnalyticsThe site uses standard, privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate visitor behavior. No individual identifying data is sold or shared for advertising.

RetentionComments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so follow-ups can be recognized and approved automatically. Registered users' profile information is stored and can be viewed, edited, or deleted by the user at any time.
Your rightsYou can request an exported file of the personal data held about you, or request that it be erased. Data kept for administrative, legal, or security purposes is excluded as required.
